Like many others, there came a moment when I started seriously questioning the clothes I wore. Not just whether I liked them or if they looked good on me, but what they actually meant: where they were made; who made them, and under what conditions; what materials were used; and what the intention was.
That process — a bit uncomfortable at first, but necessary — isn’t easy and it’s rarely a straight line. But it’s not about doing things perfectly; it’s about moving forward while creating space to reflect, and encouraging change as we go.
My path led me to realize there are no excuses, no place for “well, it is what it is.” With what I have, and what I can do, I try to do my best and continue to learn long the way. And that’s when I understood that, for me, there was no other way to create something than to be honest from the very beginning — with myself and with you.
That’s why I chose to work with people I actually talk to, people with whom I share doubts, decisions, and ideas. AVDG, our production partner, is based in Barcelona, where their manufacturing also takes place. I found them after a long search that took months. We had the chance to meet in person and visit their workspace. They’re an incredible team, we share the same values and motivation, they’re a fundamental part of this project.
And I’m not telling you this to “show transparency” or to tick a box for brand coherence. I’m telling you because… how else could it be? How could I invite you to wear something intimate if I couldn’t tell you, with honesty, how it was made?
This project doesn’t follow a perfect formula. There are tough decisions, slow processes, and things we’re still figuring out. But one thing is non-negotiable: knowing who’s behind the creation of each piece — and truly recognizing them.
It’s not about romanticism, or a handcrafted aesthetic. It’s about respect. About paying attention. About choosing with intention.
